Natasha is a mum of two and has been volunteering for the Breastfeeding Network (BfN) in Ayrshire for many years now. She first got involved in volunteering with us after the birth of her daughter and actually went into labour with her second child whilst helping at a BfN Easter event! That’s dedication to volunteering!

Natasha took a break from volunteering for a little while, but her interest in breastfeeding remained strong and she recently returned to us more enthusiastic than ever! She mainly volunteers at our Ayr breastfeeding support group but often lends a hand at other BfN Ayrshire events too. She is passionate about women supporting women and has a reassuring smile and a chatty, laid back nature that puts everyone at ease.

Natasha recently took up employment with BfN Ayrshire as our ‘Education Peer Supporter’ and in this role she provides breastfeeding training to Early Years & Childcare students at Ayrshire College, the college where so undertook her own Early Years training. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 the colleges are currently closed, but in the meantime Natasha continues to volunteer on our online breastfeeding support groups as she is keen to make sure mums feel supported during this very challenging time. She is also training to be a National Breastfeeding Helpline Supporter which we are sure she will commit to with the enthusiasm and positive outlook that she applies to everything that she does!

It’s wonderful to have Natasha back volunteering with us. She has fitted straight back in to the team and her commitment and dedication to the charity and supporting families is much appreciated by us all.

Thank you Natasha
